CHIA SEEDS

Chia seeds are grown in South America, but are gaining more and more popularity in European cuisine. In ancient times, chia was used by the Maya, Aztecs and Incas. The word chia comes from the Aztec word "chian", which means oily, and in the ancient Mayan language, the word means "strength".
